Recent research completed by KnowledgeWeaversNZ and commissioned by NZCS has found that New Zealand is losing at least $1.7 billion per year in lost productivity by not tackling digital literacy across the board. This equals around 4 full weeks per employee of wasted time.
Digital Literacy isn't just for those that can't use computers. Those that are competent with computers often simply don't know what they don't know. We all assume we're doing things in the most productive manner, but often we're simply not.

ICDL in the Workplace
The ICDL Programme is the globally leading digital literacy qualification and has been designed to cover the productivity requirements for today's workers, including all aspects of the core applications used in the workplace.
ICDL has 7 modules. There are a large number of training options available, from online courseware through to full instructor-led training options. The ICDL Qualification is gained by passing all 7 examinations at an accredited ICDL Testing Centre.

Small/Medium Businesses
ICDL is ideal in a small or medium business environment. Organisations with up to 50 staff can access ICDL through one of the many Training Partners and Accredited Testing Centres here.
There are also a number of Mobile Testing Centres available around the country. These providers will come to you at a pre-arranged day and time and oversee ITCP certification testing in your workplace.
Larger Organisations and Government Departments
Larger organisations have the option of becoming an internal NZCS Training Partner and/or ICDL Testing Centre and working directly with NZCS's Digital Literacy Division to provide training or testing for their staff.

A large number of schools and other training providers currently utilise ICDL to provide their students with an internationally-recognised computing skills qualification.
